Our program  is successfully based upon a synthesis of the five key points of yoga, as  applied to scuba diving.

They are:

Proper Breathing

Proper Exercise

Proper Relaxation

Proper Diet

Positive Thinking
& Meditation

Proper Breathing
Connects the body to the solar plexus, where tremendous potential energy is stored. Through specific breathing techniques this energy is released for physical and mental rejuvenation. We will learn how to increase our lung capacity and slow our breathing rhythm improving our breathing performance.

Proper Exercise
Acts as a lubricating routine for joints and muscles and other parts of the body by increasing circulation and flexibility to loosen tense, stressed muscles from overuse.  Helps to avoid cramping.

Proper Relaxation
A vital part of keeping the body and mind healthy and calm especially when faced with diving challenges. Reduces worry and fatigue and acts as a tonic for the whole being. Attracts fish!

Proper Diet
We will be serving food which has the most positive effect on the body and mind and the least negative effect on the environment. The all natural vegetarian diet is based on fresh, light, non-processed nutritional foods such as fruit, grains and vegetables,
helping to reduce nitrogen in our systems from diving.

Positive Thinking & Meditation
Relieves stress and replenishes energy.  Meditation makes the mind calm and steady, improves concentration and clarity to further enhance your underwater adventure!

Aqua Cat offers this weeklong liveaboard yoga/diving and adventure cruise to the exotic out islands of the Bahamas. Enjoy the pristine diving in the Exuma Cays, a chain of mostly uninhabited islands that include the Land and Sea Park Marine Sanctuary. Dive the walls of the Exuma Sound, the reefs along the way and enjoy the thrill of a shark feed! Relax and renew while enjoying the magnificent natrural scenery while dining on first class vegetarian gourmet fare!

Meals are served in our dining and salon area. Our gourmet chef and crew will meet the needs of the most discerning guests. No amenity is overlooked onboard! Our crew's personal approach is partly what makes the experience aboard the Aqua Cat so special. They will be happy to assist in any way possible to enhance your trip.

The Aqua Cat is a 102' power catamaran. We offer a richer travel experience - one that goes far beyond the typical tourist sites and into pure nature. Imagine sinking your toes into sugar sand, snorkeling among the lemon sharks and sting rays, or hiking the trails of uninhabited islands. The ideal way to explore the world is on a small ship, enjoying access to places of natural beauty not possible any other way. A relaxed, comfortable travel style with emphasis on the overall quality of the essential experience.

Our accommodations are top notch! All cabins are totally ensuite and very spacious! Large picture windows bring the outdoors in so you can always enjoy the view. The Aqua Cat boasts 11 private cabins. Enjoy sunrise each day, the most amazing shades of azure seas, and sunsets each day while you cruise the many islands of the Exumas. Our spacious sundeck is perfect for our yoga instruction in sunny weather while the main salon is also large enough to accommodate an inside class. Of course, nature make the best classroom setting- as pristene clear waters wash ashore to caress white sand beaches....

The Aqua Cat offers many activities and eco adventures.  Aqua Cat has a 28’ launch that can take you to isolated beaches where you can  meditate, sunbathe, hike, explore, kayak, snorkel. You will enjoy feeding and photographing the iguanas on Allan’s Cay. Visit the headquarters of the Exumas Land & Sea Park on Warderick Wells and explore the many trails. Kayak the creeks that meander through Shroud Cay. These creeks are nurseries for many varieties of fish and sharks. For those interested in bird watching, the Exumas are a nesting area for many species of seabirds including White-Tailed Tropicbirds, Audubon Shearwaters, Brown Noddies, and Bridled and Sooty Terns.

Snorkeling
Snorkeling is an easy and enjoyable activity for all passengers. Instructors are available to assist and instruct those who are unfamiliar with snorkeling. All you need are mask, fins and snorkels. If you don’t have your own, the Aqua Cat has them available for rent. We provide snorkel vests. The Aqua Cat has a specially equipped 28-foot launch, the Sea Dog, designed for transporting passengers to the remote and pristine islands of the Exumas Cays where they can snorkel from the beach in shallow waters. There are a variety of different sites to visit:

Saddleback Cay
On most trips to this beach, we encounter stingrays that venture close to snorkelers in the hopes of a hand fed tidbit. There are also a number of small coral heads located at one end of the beach with many juvenile fish to observe.

Warderick Wells Park Hdqtrs
There is a beautiful beach right next to the park headquarters. While there aren’t a lot of fish right off the beach,
you can swim or wade around to the headquarters’ dock where schools of grunts, jacks and snapper swarm. A resident lemon shark also appears frequently.

Mangrove snorkels
Mangroves provide haven for marine nurseries for the juveniles of many fish spiecies including gray snapper, barracuda and grunts. During a recent snorkel in the mangroves on Ship’s Channel Cay, we saw over 100 small barracuda! The creeks of Shroud Cay are another great area to snorkel among the mangroves.

Close Mon Reef
This is a beautiful shallow reef with a depth that ranges from 2’ to 10’. There are large schools of snapper and grunts to be seen here. You will also see trumpetfish, puffers, filefish, angelfish, and butterflyfish. There isn’t a beach to snorkel from, but the Sea Dog can anchor above the reef to give snorkelers immediate access to the reef. Many of our scuba sites are also excellent for snorkeling. The wall dives that run along the Exuma Sound begin shallow and slope gently until gradually falling over the edge. These sites are conducive to awesome diving and snorkeling simultaneously! Sites like Parrotfish Reef or Flat Rock Reef have a depth of 5’ to 10’ near the islands. While our shark dive is done in 50’ of water, the chumsicle floats 25’ above the bottom, which gives snorkelers a great view of the sharks feeding.

KAYAKING
The Aqua Cat has 12 kayaks onboard for passengers to use. There are both single and double kayaks available. Everyone will find them easy to use. The Sea Dog is available to transport you and the kayaks close to the islands or you can kayak directly from the Aqua Cat. There are over 100 islands in the Northern Exumas, many with beautiful deserted beaches. Explore the creeks on Shroud Cay or Ship’s Channel Cay. Visit Pirate’s Lair where pirates hid 250 years ago to avoid capture.

IGUANAS
Allan’s Cay is one of the last homes of the rare Bahamas rock iguanas. They were once common on most Bahamian Islands, but early settlers nearly hunted them into extinction. As you approach the beach, watch for iguanas crawling out of the woods. They are looking for handouts of bread or fruit from the guests to their island.

BEACHCOMBING
There are over 100 islands in the Northern Exumas, many with beautiful deserted beaches for you to enjoy!
